Save A Spanish Spot is a volunteer group who rescue Dalmatian and Dalmatian crosses from Spain and rehome them in the UK and Europe. We do this as the situation for Dalmatians and most dogs in Spain is dire. Dogs are often left on the streets having to fend for themselves. If they are picked up, many dog pounds in Spain simply don't actively look for good homes for these dogs, and they get left in cramped cages for days on end with no exercise or love, and then are put to sleep. In a lot of areas of Spain there are no animal welfare laws and little is done or thought about in regards to stray dogs. We could not sit back and do nothing. We started Save A Spanish Spot and have successfully rescued and homed many Dalmatian and Dalmatian crosses. These dogs have sometimes needed urgent medical care, but all have needed love.
